The Extended Single Crochet Stitch is an easy and gorgeous variation of the Single Crochet. It’s a great way to expand your skills or give a bit of twist to the classic Single crochet. I have included a step-by-step photo tutorial as well as a video tutorial to suit your preferred learning style.

• *Furls Odyssey crochet hook, I used sized I – 5.0 mm

The Extended Single Crochet can be done with almost any yarn or hook, so feel free to use whatever you have!

Learn The Extended Single Crochet Stitch

The Extended Single Crochet really is a simple twist on the the usual Single Crochet. One simple variation gives a whole new look.

You should start with a chain in any number you like, +1

Abbreviations

• esc – Extended Single Crochet
• ch – Chain
• st – Stitch
• yo- Yarn Over
• *_* denoted repeat sequence

Extended Single Crochet Written Instructions:

Foundation Chain: Chain any number + 1.

Step 1: Insert hook into next stitch or chain.

Step 2: Yo and pull up a loop (2 loops on hook)

Step 3: Yarn over, pull through first loop on hook (2 loops on hook).

Step 4: Yarn over, pull through both loops.

Repeat until the end of the row. To continue to next row chain 1, and turn.

Steps For the Extended Single Stitch With Pictures
