The Extended Single Crochet really is a simple twist on the the usual Single Crochet. One simple variation gives a whole new look.

You should start with a chain in any number you like, +1

Abbreviations

  • esc – Extended Single Crochet
  • ch – Chain
  • st – Stitch
  • yo- Yarn Over
  • *_* denoted repeat sequence

Extended Single Crochet Written Instructions:

Foundation Chain: Chain any number + 1.

Step 1: Insert hook into next stitch or chain.

Step 2: Yo and pull up a loop (2 loops on hook)

Step 3: Yarn over, pull through first loop on hook (2 loops on hook).

Step 4: Yarn over, pull through both loops.

Repeat until the end of the row. To continue to next row chain 1, and turn.
