The Progression Of The Times
I had originally designed this pattern back in January 2020 with the thought that the Whimsy Head Wrap would be the perfect accessory for festivals, the beach, or vacations………Well, all that didn’t happen, and as May drew near I was so worried the head wrap would not be received as a useful accessory for the times.
But, to my surprise the wonderful subscribers of HHM embraced the idea and utilized it’s functionality for their Covid hair!!
Seriously though, it turned into the perfect accessory for the not-able-to-see-a-hairdresser-three-months crew!

The Pattern Tests
Wow, it feels like a lifetime ago that my testers were working on this one! This group of testers was fantastic! The test for the Whimsy Head Wrap took place all the way back in the beginning of February!

Very nice pattern. I made one with Lion Brand Beautiful You and Deramores Studio Baby Soft DK. They took no time at all and they’re beautiful and fit my big beautiful curls.

Wonderful! I’m so glad you like the pattern 🙂

Row 38 doesn’t make sense. It says to make a triple crochet in the “turn CH” but that would make one extra stitch than needed. I’m really confused on this

Hello,
If you checkout the video tutorial around minute 7:45 you can see how to do this part.
Hope that helps!

Oh thank you! I didn’t know there was a video tutorial

Such a quick and easy pattern. I ended up making a ch 5 so it was the TC + 1 chain. Made it sit nicely and gave it an even look & straight edge. I also used a 4mm hook and it was quite large for me. Next time I may reduce the number of repeating rows.
Thanks for the pattern!
Rachel
This is beautiful. I just completed mine on Sunday 3/5/23. I used #4 weight yarn by Caron Simply Soft, in soft blue
