Meet The Designer

Hi, my name is Whitney, crochet designer behind Pine Tree Crochet. I love designing patterns, almost as much as I love crocheting. I learned to crochet many years ago making prayer blankets for those in need and enjoyed experimenting with different stitches.  I design beginner to advanced beginner patterns and share them on my blog. You can also purchase an inexpensive pattern PDF that includes step by step photo tutorials on Ravelry.

Skinny Scarf Crochet Pattern Information

I love the texture this pattern creates and how easy it is. I have also used it in a few of my other designs and some that are currently in the making! The first pattern I designed using this textured stitch was the Ridgeline Pumpkin. I like the ridges this stitch combination creates and when turned vertically, looks perfect for a pumpkin! You can find the free pattern on my blog below.

This pattern creates a very pretty texture and is great for beginners with only a two-row repeat. It uses only two stitches (hdc and sl st) and stacks them on top of each other each time you turn your work. It looks beautiful in so many colors.

Supporting small yarn shops is very important and the skein of DK yarn I used was from Mountains of Yarn in my absolute favorite colors. I had this skein of yarn on the shelf for quite a while before I decided to crochet the Ridgeline Skinny Scarf. The color combinations Kara creates are gorgeous! You can find them at Mountains of Yarn.
