What better way to give some love to the amazing women in your life, than a gift focused on spa time!! The Luxe Spa Headband will have her craving for some me-time! I know I never pass up a moment of blissful relaxation!

What’s not relaxing though, is getting clay mask in your hair, or messing up your make up when you take off your headband. I’m all about minimizing the negatives, and the button up Luxe Spa Headband prevents both these scenarios!

Simple Luxury

The Luxe Spa Headband is a simple and easy design with big outcome! Made with Bernat blanket yarn, this headband is soft, squishy and absorbent!

The Luxe Spa Headband is designed to wear during spa treatments at home or at the spa! Having a spa girls night or bachelorette party?! One of these for all your girls will add a special touch luxury!

My testers loved working up these quick headbands, and they turned out great! They used either Bernat Blanket Yarn or Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn

Luxe Spa Headband – Free Pattern

Materials

• Approx. 30-40 yds Polyester Blanket Yarn I used Bernat Blanket in *Vintage White and *Bernat Baby Blanket Stripes
• US size 9.0mm crochet hook. I used my fave *Furls Odyssey hooks
• Scissors – These are my fave *scissors!
• Yarn Needle – I use these *Clover needles.

Gauge

5 sts x 4 rows = 2″ although not overly important.

Size

Finished dimensions laid flat with no stretch: Small – 3″ wide x 20″ flat (from straight end to row before button hole) Med/Lg – 3″ wide x 22″ flat (from straight end to row before button hole)

Pattern Notes

• US Terminology
• All ch1 do not count as a stitch
• Pattern is easily adjustable for size by simple adding additional rows before the button hole row.

Stitch Abbreviations

• ch – Chain
• sc – Single Crochet
• sc2tog – Single Crochet 2 Together
• slst – Slip Stitch
• st(s) – Stitch(es)
• sk – Skip
• chsp – Chain Space

Special Stitch

Single crochet 2 together (sc2tog): Insert hook into stitch and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next stitch and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook.

The Pattern

Teen/Adult Small

ch 7

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across, ch1, turn (6 Sc).

Row 2-39: Sc in each st across, ch1, turn (6 sc).

Check your measurements here. You can add more rows before the button hole if you need to adjust!

Row 40: Sc in the next 2 sts, ch1, Skip next ST, sc in the next 3 sts, ch1, turn (5 sc).

Row 41: Sc in the next 3 sts, skip the chsp, sc in the next 2 sts, ch1, turn (5 sc).

Row 42: Sc2tog, sc in the next st, sc2tog, ch1, turn (3 sc).

Row 43: Sc2tog, 1 sc, tie off, leaving long tail to weave in (2 sc).

Sew button on the front side (opposite side you weave in your ends) at approximately row 2. Weave in all ends and you’re done!!

Adult Medium/Large

ch 7

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across, ch1, turn (6 sc).

Row 2-42: Sc in each st across, ch1, turn (6 sc).

Check your measurements here. You can add more rows before the button hole if you need to adjust!

Row 43: Sc in the next 2 sts, ch1, skip next st, sc in the next 3 sts, ch1, turn (5 sc).

Row 44: Sc in the next 3 sts, skip the chsp, sc in the next 2 sts, ch1, turn (5 sc).

Row 45: Sc2tog, sc in the next st, sc2tog, ch1, turn (3 sc).

Row 46: Sc2tog, 1 sc, tie off, leaving long tail to weave in (2 sc).

Sew button on the front side (opposite side you weave in your ends) at approximately row 2. (See photo above) Weave in all ends and you’re done!
